Player Bio

“The Wild Thing” - That’s what Lance Morris labelled after his smearing performance against England during their tour match in 2017-2018 at the WACA. He is known for his tall body structure that enables him to extract lightning pace and impeccable bounce.

Born in South West, Morris began his cricketing journey at a mere age of 10 years at the Dunsborough Cricket Club. At just 17, the pacer moved to Perth to play as he got traded to the Scarborough Cricket Club.

A couple of years later, in 2017, he represented Western Australia in a tour match against England where he really put his name up in lights. The following season, Morris signed a rookie contract with the WA Men's team and then moved to the senior team in the 2020-21 domestic season. His sizzling outing also saw him bagging the WA Men’s Rising Star at the Laurie Sawle Medal.

At the Big Bash level, the Wild Thing began his journey with the Melbourne Stars, as he made his big league debut during the 2019-20 season, and then was part of the Green Team in the next edition.

Ahead of the 2021-22 Big Bash season, Morris left the Melbourne based franchise to join the pace battery of Perth Scorchers.
