Player Bio

A policeman by trade, Colin Smith is a former Scotish cricketer who played for Scotland national cricket team.

A right-handed wicket-keeper batsman, Smith is a longtime servant of Scotish cricket and made his international debut in 2006.

Smith has played for all age groups before representing Scotland at the highest level.

He made his ODI debut against Pakistan in 2006 and had a horrendous start to his white ball career, getting dismissed for a duck.

The very next year Smith was given a chance to make his T20I debut against Pakistan in the inaugural edition of the ICC T20I World Cup.

Smith had a short lived international career as he became a police officer and work pressure resulted in him choosing his job over cricket.

A great strokemaker, Smith had a short international career. Away from cricket, he was a police officer and his duty often collided with his love for cricket, and as a result, Smith decided to give more time to his job and cricket was sidelined forever.
