One of the most versatile sportspeople in the cricketing fraternity, Mary Waldron is a professional cricketer and a long time member of the Irish football association. Waldron has also got the opportunity by the ICC to represent as an umpire in international fixtures.

A prolific top-order batter, Waldron first arrived at the international circuit in 2010 making her debut in an ODI fixture against New Zealand women on July 4th, 2010. At the age of 37, she is still enjoying every single minute on the ground featuring in all formats for the Irish women’s team. 

In addition to playing cricket, Waldron was added to the ICC development panel of umpires and she stood in the qualifying events of the T20 World Cup Qualifiers. A competent cricketer, the veteran is very knowledgeable and has the hunger to learn and grow at this age which makes her an important figure in the women’s team.
